Porthbean Beach

Porthbean Beach

The rock pillar on Porthbean Beach is quite a fixture and so when CrispinUK and I visited Trevor Ashby down in Cornwall we took the opportunity for some dawn photography.
Location
Porthbean, Cornwall

44 seconds at f/22

Ilford Delta 100 in Prescysol EF
Paper & Developer
Forte Polygrade in Tetenal Dokumol, split toned in sepia

Red 25 and polariser
Really nice capture and finishing, although I have the feeling the scan of the final print is a bit flat and probably doesn't do justice to the dark tones in the real print.

Marco, yes the scans always lack the dynamic range of the originals and the colour's always a bit off too.
