Simple Portrait

My request is simple. I need help with portraits. What would improve this besides the too harsh lighting on her shoulder?

With the subject leaning back as she is, it looks almost as if the camera is tilted or the picture isn't straight on the wall -- makes me want to reach out and put it level. I don't find a single hot highlight like that on her shoulder obejctionable, however, so the main thing I'd do on a reshoot is have her sit up straight instead of leaning back, and reframe.

Altnerately, there's a hint from the position of her arms that she might be supporting her position with hands around a knee; backing off enough to show that would make the tilt of the head and upper body seem much less unnatural. Then if she could open her eyes a little, and there were a little catchlight, it'd be getting pretty good...

Thanks, Donald. That is helpful information.
