My daughter was patient enough to sit for me for some portraits so I could test my new UV lighting set up. this was the first plate I've poured in 2 months or so. Collodion was quite red.

Awesome ! If only my son would sit still for 5 seconds... He is a turbocharged handful and that is on straight water, you can imagine what red cordial does.

I have had a hankering to this form of imaging for the past two years, will get there in time.

Beautiful plate, and a terrific portrait. The eyes are compelling, and it's amazing you got a kid that small to sit statue-still for 5 seconds!

UV lighting setup? Shouldn't she be wearing some protective eyeglasses than?

Now that glows! Really beautiful.

Thanks everyone.... It felt so good to be able to do this as I've missed being able to pour plates with this MN winter. So now I am able to shoot inside, it changes things a little. I hope to bring all my chemistry back into normal parameters. I've not maintained my silver since October and my developer activity is really slow, and the collodion is getting pretty old. Once I bring things back to normal, I hope to make some more indoor shots like this.
