K 200

K 200

200 ISO was my favourite Kodachrome emulsion. I borrowed a Leica R 6.2 and 80mm f/1.4 lens to take some portraits of my nephews and nieces. December 2010.

What a great scruffy little face. The dof is so nice, and what eyes?! He's beautiful. Just right light, aye?

It's the eyes and the hair. Photoshoppers put themselves through hell to trying get even close to this effect. It's futile, of course. A beautifully preserved moment.

Beautiful! The DoF is wonderful, and the colors are so nice! This is an amazing portrait of a beautiful subject.

Thanks for the nice words folks. He & his two year older brother had just spent an hour belting the crap out of each other. Then they had some dinner, mucked around on Facebook and watched some awful Disney TV. Finally I got them outside for some magic hour portraits. Will post a shot of the older brother after the hols.

Beautiful portrait! Really lovely colors and depth of field, but also a great moment. It feels very sincere.
