I can hear the music, and the thumps. I was a backstage mom for a few Nutcrackers. "Backstage" was really UNDER the stage. I know when all the jumps are in this piece. I can still hear the ballerinas landing!

Thank you all for the response. Still many negatives to work through. In answer to the question about Xtol, ordinarily I use it as stock with replenishing, but I experimented with the 1:3 and stand developing for the very sharp contrast, especially seen from the wings: normal agitation at 30 seconds and one minute, gentle swirl at 25 minutes, finish at 50 minutes. And yes, the thumps are very close, very loud.
