The Kentmere is a little grainier than Tri-X/Arista Premium 400, but I choose to use it for an oddball key reason: it is far easier for my nerve-damaged digits to handle in the dark when I put film on a reel, and in the light when scanning, etc., than any other 35mm film I have tried. It lies VERY flat in the Epson film holder when it is pinched into place and, really, I like the look it gives with D-76 and my style of shooting. As to the scanner emphasizing grain, I have no idea ... :smile:
