I need to work the contrast of this image more, not sure if there is a lot I can do. I made a darker version too but the contrast is about the same even though I experimented a bit with different Multigrade filters.

This time of year the plants are pretty much dead and the same color as the old fenceposts aside from the evergreen so I'm not sure a lens filter would have helped much. Perhaps just not the best scene to film but I was anxious to finish the roll off and get processing and do like it even though it is fairly mono-level.

I think the contrast range is perfect for a white-sky day in Ontario. It's a true image.

Try doing an exposure with a #3 and then hit it with a #5. Play with the exposures and you'll get a print that shows all the detail of the subject but adds a bit of contrast making things look better in terms of contrast and increased "detail".
