playing with Zero Image 45 pinhole today. I have done nothing with my stuff in a long time ... so pulled out incident meter, BTZS pilot and tubes and went for it !
thanks Daniel and Andrew. I think the "sharpness" is more optical illusion caused by the enhanced local contrast. In hand it's easy to see the lens-less softness. Also I seem to get this more with tube processing TMY-2 with TMAX-RS developer. Oh, the cigar stayed lit. I just put it in the seen for the 5 second exposure ....
Thanks all ! I was perplexed by pinhole sharpness at first and reviewed the work of others done with this model camera and noticed that as with lensed cameras apparent sharpness depends on many factors but I have noticed that the lower the flare conditions the sharper the image will appear. I have seen images so sharp that the only the wide angle distortion was the only distinguishing feature. Also an ultra clean cut hole is mandatory. The other holes on the camera turret are not quite as capable as this hole for image sharpness but are quite good. TMY-2 seems to make distinctly sharper images than TMY. Yes Shawn, as with Pt/pd printing humidification is where the "goodness" lives .
