this sounds like a really fun and interesting situation !

we have a group near us that is a sculpture workshop making
merry go round horses for an eventual merry go round. the original
was dismantled and no one knows where it is ...
will the menage from your project be on posts that go up and down,
or on chains that swing out ?

i look forward to the next grouping !

I confirm it is a very interesting (and fun, if you like heavy noise, sparkles everywhere, etc... ) project. My main problem is to keep active on the two mediums at the same time as I'd hate to be only a viewer (I LOVE sparkles, angle grinders, welding machines, etc...) of the making.

The "Manege" will be human powered (if you look on Laurent's site (not mine, the artist is ALSO called Laurent you can see a picture of the whole project, with a "Taureau cycle" (a bull shaped bicycle) where an adult is supposed to sit and move the circle by the force of his legs))). Therefore the animals will simply be bolted on the ground of the "Manege", with some moving parts that will be moved by the kids sitting on them.
