8x10 x6 wet plate - downtown Austin

8x10 wet plate collodions on aluminum.

I was having some issues with my wet plate chemistry the last time I went out... so I spent sunday morning doing some chemistry maintenance and went out midday to test everything.
Made this "20x24" assemblage.
Location
Austin, TX
Equipment Used
8x10 and 19" RD artar
Exposure
7secs at F22 each
i love how the bottom plates anchor the image.
the building/s is/are square to the camera, and solid / rigid
and as your eye travels to the upper plates the image seems to flow upwards
kind of like a plant blooming.

this series is great !
i look forward to the next

I agree with John. These are wonderful... unique, imaginative, and technically well done. I would like to see them in person, in all their glory.

The assemblage has a very unique tonality, at least as it comes across the monitor. Very interesting images.

Ah...the old Dali Building in Austin!

Wonderful image!

WOW !!

That is the coolest thing I've seen since man walked the moon. Far fracking out, Matt!
