Another photograph taken from my recent vacation to the Outer Banks. Route 12 in the Cape Hatteras national seashore gets covered by sand frequently from wind and hurricanes. These beach fences are built to keep the sands from shifting. The light was beautiful in the evening and casted long shadows of the fence on the dunes.
I agree with the others - it's just about perfect in both the technical and artistic spheres. BTW, do you have any information on the sepia followed by selenium toning procedure? When I tried this I got a some brown staining in the paper base. What kind of washing (or refixing?) do you do between toners?
Thanks everyone again! Pea Island is on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It's just south of Oregon Inlet which is just south of Nags Head. Pea Island is part of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore and is protected from development. It's a wonderful place!
