Lanterns Porcelain Coffeepot

Experimenting today with a modified projection triplet. I continue to look into the future to the day when the famous old soft lenses simply cannot be had because of scarcity and price.

A very nice still life. I like the effects you’re getting from the triplet.

Jim, nice effect on this one. It has a very nice glow to it that I especially like. By the way nice job on that big B&J portrait lens on the bay last night. I was going to bid on that one but ended up getting 2 11x14 holders instead. Nice deal for 400.

Jim, I always love your luminous creations. Your lens concoctions presents some really interesting character to your prints. How much more creative does it get? Make your own lenses... Nice!

After seeing this, and some of your other still lifes, I plan to try some soon. I've also been concerned about the price and availability of big portrait lenses, so I took a chance and grabbed a big brass Wolly off the great auction site recently. It's about 15" EFL, and almost too big to mount on my Seneca Improved View. I think I can do it, but will have to build a saddle to support most of the weight on the bed.
