Nice work, Christian. I like these vertical panoramas, but it's hard to find appropriate subjects, and this works very well.
How does the Korona hold up in the vertical orientation? Are you just turning it sideways on the tripod head, or do you have an L-bracket or other extra support?
Very nice Christian...and I unerstand what you mean about the Japaneese woodblock. Would not have thought you could get one of the Korona 7x17's in a vertical...but glad you did.
I'm kind of curious to how you use a 7x17 for vertical shots as well!
The photo is amazing. I wish I had the time to experiment more with processes alternate to regular silver gelatin.
Most of your work is stunning, and I hope to run into some of your photos at a show or exhibit some day.
I should admit that I am quite pleased by this image and it is one of my favorite of the moment.
For the 7x17 question. I just turn the head on the side way. I use a Zone vI tripod and level it before fixing the camera. After I just tun the head and shoot. FOr this image I don't find time to put another tripod under the back of the camera but I did for other vertical image I did.
regards
Indeed this is a fine image and certainly has a minimalist feel to it even though there is a lot in the frame. I am sure the plt/pd process really do this image proud!
