Finally tried the new Cyanotype. Compared to the original formula, its blue is sightly more intense. It requires a negative with a DR is 1.5, compared to 1.3 for original formula. The jury is still out...

Tea toning, for the purist .
If you have a test print, it would be interesting to see a test with part of it toned and part untoned.
 
I've always understood that it was the tannic acid in tea that actually did the toning, so "purists" just used tannic acid.

Tea has more tannic acid than coffee, but I prefer the look of a coffee toned print. I might just throw the print in (after I bleach it) a bath of tannic acid...
 
Beautiful, Andrew ! I like the dreamy mood very much.

The tone looks to me shifted to the purple, but is this the result of the new cyanotype (the Mike Ware formula ?), or it's the Hydrogen peroxide ?

No, it's deep blue, especially after the hydrogen peroxide bath. Definitely more intense than the original formula.
