Column - Aprodisias

I think I would have moved further to the right to exclude the branch in the top left corner which I find distracting. It looks as though the branches of the tree behind are growing out of the column. The exposure, density and contrast look just right on my monitor. Is this image a part of a series Ian?

All my images are usually part of series. I did think about moving but actually wanted the tree apparently growing out of the column, rules are meant for breaking

The tree looks ok there,its very odd to see a lone column with spirals out in the middle of a wooded area like that. The spirals remind me of a barber shop sign, most column's I've seen have vertical groves.

Yeah, I love it too. If it were just a tree growing out of a column I might think otherwise, but you have really made everything in the picture relate and interact with each other. Its great and kinda fun because it does break some rules while still seen with sophistication.

It also makes me want to go to Turkey even more now. It is just far enough for me to think of it as not being part of Europe (well technically, it mostly isn't) but close enough to not be scary dangerous. I guess it is the 19th century romantic in me.
