Color film with weird development problem

I made this with Kodak color film in August 2010. After I got the film back along with the CD with the scanned images, I noticed the photos looked strange. Too big grain, it seems. I guess the guys at the lab made some mistake. Wrong temperature maybe? At first I thought the images were absolutely no good, but now I've begun to like them.

I kind of like it. The big grain gives it a post-impressionist look, like a Georges Seurat painting. I would be hesitant to send any future rolls of film to that lab though.

The film may be fine, the drug stores here aren't any better. Typically the images they put on cd look horrid, grainy, underexposed. They've got other things to do besides scanning your film. Put it on auto and walk away.
