Im not quite sure what to tell about this image. The motives for shooting it were not to develop my technique, or explore some new method of shooting. I took this image simply because i liked the subject. It was shot using Instant film, im sure that the ammount of this kind of photography using these materials has sharply declined with the onslaught of digital. Perhaps as photographers we have all used our skills to capture these bedroom moments? well this image is what it is.

It was shot on a polaroid 6x6" back the black is the unexposed areas of the film. Why would there be envy? or people feeling cheated? I dont understand?

I like it! First of all, its well composed and I like all the visible elements, especially the mirror. Second, even though it is very direct and it is a man clearly proud of his physique, I find there is a well balanced touch of sensuality and sensitivity. For me though, this is a portrait, first and foremost.

I like how relaxed the model seems. He does have a physique that would really lend itself well to some figure studies. But I don't know if that's your cup of tea at all.

If this is a state that the model is relaxed and comfortable in, then I think it's a successful portrait.

Not my cup of tea, but then I guess there are different strokes for different folks. Were it an image of a female in the same pose and lighting, I'd probably say the same thing and I'm not here to try to tell someone what to like.

Yes, I agree that an artist needs to follow their path and to go where they are led, however to say that an artist is not well rounded because they haven't traveled every road there is to travel is a bit off target. Just because you haven't traveled the road I have traveled with my art, does not make you less of an artist, nor does it keep you from expressing an opinion about my work.
