This must have been one hell of a place to work in the middle of winter, 1600 ft up on the slopes of Coniston Old Man. The skeletal remains of the old miners huts are in keeping with the scarred landscape. I took this shot on a day threatening rain back in July this year.
Very good use of such a wideangle lens to really put the viewer "in there". I think the wooden frame in the foreground really draws the eye and anchors the shot.
