Shooting the pier in the morning is tricky due to the angle of the sun at that time.
By using a red filter and having the sun directly behind it, I gave up on any detail on the pier itself. This may be a good candidate for lith I am thinking.
Very well done, Steve. I agree that lith might take this picture to the next level. I also think a Sabattier would be interesting as well, especially those highlights around the storm cloud and the building on the pier.
There are days when the sky seems to be the photographer's best friend... it was one of these and you certainly did not miss the opportunity. Congrats!
