I think these work better as individual shots vs. the two together.

I think these shots are just beautiful, this one is my favourite by far. The colour and texture suits this image perfectly.

Great series. I agree with Tony, in that this is the best one. It seems that the personality of a clown is about facial expressions which are the same for a prolonged period of time, and that's why the close-up works so well in my humble opinion.
