I have never really appreciated Stieglitz' "equivalents" cloud photos from Lake George, and then here on this day, i was compelled to pull the camera out of trunk and pop this photo. It appeals to me, but i am at a loss why. It's not like clouds are a rare event...
Its a matter of time for me. One of the things I love about where I am is the sky usually has some drama. Sometimes spectacular, sometimes just pretty. I wIll have my cloude shots too. 'Glad you got this one.
Living at the Jersey Shore, i see your point, Toad. Upon that reflection, it actually brings a reminder of the angry sea a couple days before the last two hurricanes came ashore here. And while these are wispy, they had surprising little motion in them. HHS, i don't live in the land of "big sky" so the drama of huge cumulus clouds is virtually non-existent. Even over the open ocean, i don't usually see them looking as spectacular as out west - probably because of the light. Around here, they are usually much darker with less definition. So, get 'em and lock 'em in.
