Cloud of Light

i can't explain my fascination for this, other than the contrast between the all-to-familiar forest and the way this vegetation reflected the light. Something mystical here - and an indication of the changes in my vision over a number of years.

Why did you use "cloud" in the title here? This has given the image religious connotations especially with the bird-like shape generated by the light selectively falling on the focal point. I find that I have pondered over this image for a few days and have no problem interacting with it. A good shot and thanks for posting.
Best wishes,
John.

Interesting comment, John. Why? ... i have no idea, but I agree, there is something "religious" abut this spray of leaves - much like a halo. At times, as we go through life seeking a sign .. they are too familiar, too close - and we don't see them.
