Good example of this erosion and the rock "faults" using colour. Difficult to see how this might be conveyed anything like as well in b&w
 
It's funny - you pick up one of these 'rocks' only to find it's like solidified mud and is kinda 'squidgy'. Or then again, it might break apart and reveal an amazing find.
That said, all ones I pick up are mud...
 
I opened one once on the Jurassic Coast and found Richard Attenborough and Jeff Goldblum inside it
