Clashnessie, NW Scotland

This pretty well known waterfall has defied me over a number of years and I've ended up with a succession of photos that I'm never happy with. I definitely see it as B&W, although sometimes colour works better if the sky is blue. But if the sky is bright then the contrast is fierce, so better to go on an overcast day and minimise the bland, grey washed-out sky. This shot dates from 2004 and I didn't shoot it at all this year, but next year .............. :-)

I appreciate what you are saying and this is not in the critique gallery but anyhow...
If you scroll down from the top and crop out about the entire top 1/3 of the falls placing the second tier at he top, you have a much different picture avoiding the sky... but if you wanted a different picture you may have done that already.
 
Bruce, I haven't gone that drastic on the crop before, but certainlt worth another look. Thanks.
