In the best and most exciting way HIE makes the scene look "artificially created" in the way model towns look "created". It's a great effect

Very nice! I just did a few infrared photos today. Still have a few shots on the roll. I hope mine are even nearly as good as this.
My Dad was a big infrared fan - did a lot of work that way. I just loved it. Glad you're working with it.

I am going to try the Efke Aura IR. I hope it is close????

Yes give the Efke Aura a try but use a 70 or 89B filter to acheive close to what you are getting with the HIE.

I have an 89B. When you shot it what ISO/Time do you use???

I rate it at 50 ISO and allow 5 extra stops for the filter and bracket around that. I soup it in Rodinal Special at 1:15 for 13 minutes with agitation each minute.
