This is a print of the Church that I previously posted as a negative scan. I got my darkroom going on Sunday and this was the first 'final' print I made. Still may need to tweek and print this one again to fix some things.
Thanks. The Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens is meant for digital crop sensors. It so happens that it mostly fills a 35mm frame at 16mm (the long end LOL) so it is a nice poor man's 16mm f/2.8 but it does vignette a little and obviously I should have bladed off some of the image there with the easel. Next time...
There are so many more grey levels to work with in a print than with a scan. I love B&W film for stone work and shadows. I really enjoy it as a print, I just have to play with it a bit more to get the contrast just right. Might play with it in 11x14 too, in Satin or Pearl Multigrade RC though of course spread out bigger my exposure times will be off, perhaps I can calculate the difference? I'll have to try some fiber too if I can trust my print washer not to overflow all over the place with that ginormous 11x14 tray running for an hour (it runs fine while I watch it but when I leave sometimes it decides to stop drawing from the bottom).
