Not the best bit of burning ever...

I find it interesting from a couple of perspectives. 1. Interesting framing. 2. It's like a battle between dark and light, like the tree in the light foggy background is standing up against the dark shape in the foreground. Symbolic that way.

i agree with thomas about the appeal of the dark/light (death/life?) conflict in this scene -- i like it ..... perhaps less burning would enhance that feeling, and at the same time make the burn halo less of a problem
 
I like the light meets dark aspect. Maybe the leaves and branches which are pretty dark already could be burned in more to avoid the halo or better still just reduce it.

Just musing really on possibilities as I would stick with this print

I've made three more prints since! (i got Tim Rudmans Master Printing book for Christmas)

I have managed to get more detail in the foreground wall and lessen the halo as suggested. Im happier with it - though it's only slightly defferent.
