this is another image from my river delta drive on saturday. this is small church in the town of courtland, along route 160.

what caught my attention was the one piece aluminum spire. on this particular shot, i used front swing to bring into focus both the front plane of the church and the diamon shaped street sign to the left.

What a cool building-small but soaring and elegant; I love the juxtaposition of a whole building shrunk into a neat little Polaroid 'wrapper'..same goes for the exposure notation. Nice work.
 
There are interesting graphic elements in this image - the pole on the extreme left, the steeple, the trees in the background - - - sometimes I think we are drawn to make images in scenes where there are repeating elements that we don't consciously recognize.

The other thing that I like about this image is the beautiful highlight on the steeple against the wonderful gray midtone of the sky.
