My baby girl last week. She just acquired her drivers permit so she is relentless in asking to drive:)
This is one of my first 8 x 10 contact prints from the newest member of the family...a Kodak 2D.
I was happy to see that my Darlot covered 8 x 10!
People have said that there is nothing like a contact print, I tend to agree.
Wow! Beautiful Seve. Both the print and your daughter! Was this the longer darlot you used on your speed graphic before? Another thing, you can use just the front element as a meniscus lens, to get soft focus too. It will almost double the focal length, but gives a superb image. Try it.
Yes , me girl is easy to photograph. She is a sweetheart and very patient. She is really in to photography so she really does not mind....most of the time.
Tony, I did take in consideration the window however I was more focused on the camera and all the gear working properly I must say. Thanks for the input though.
Andrew, I have tried the meniscus format with an earlier lens, this is one of the two petzvals I used on the Crown Graphic however I think the one you are thinking of is the one I sold. This is the bigger one.
This Darlot is as it was manufactured...with all four lenses. (two cemented and 2 divided with step rings). I really love the results this old lens gives. I think it will go even bigger than 8x10.....gads!
Ruhroh... Bigger than 8x10!! I can see this getting expensive! Btw, I'd love to do a wet plate of Christina some time... Seems like your 2D is working well. Where did you find a back for it eventually?

Believe it or not ...National Camera. I was just walking out after asking and the man says...wait minute, I have an 8x10 back for a Kodak 2d.... 35 bucks with the glass!
