Chinese Shrine

This is a shrine in the Chinese part of a country cemetery near the Bendigo goldfields. The relatives come and write messages to their departed, the messages are then placed inside and burnt. The message to the departed is delivered to them via the smoke (?) and whatever. I think that is how it goes.

I'd say you're pretty good at capturing people's expressions and actions based on the bike riders. Pity there wasn't someone there inserting and burning to add to the shot.

Interesting point, one which I pondered over whilst riding away. If there had been someone mourning their departed loved ones, I probably wouldn't have taken a picture. I think their privacy would have been invaded.

Mick.
