Sunprint commercial cyanotype paper, 5x4 contact print. Bleached in sodium carbonate solution (3g/l) until the image was removed, then toned in wine tannin (2g/l). The amount of blue in the result is a surprise - the bleached paper had only a slight overall blue tone.
I was expecting a reddish-brown. This is a commercial paper, so I don't know the exact formula used. It may be I need a stronger bleach (maybe ammonia in place of sodium carbonate?), or the wine tannin powder needs to soak longer. The paper did bleach to an even very pale blue tint, even the fully exposed ends - the sheets I use are 6x4 inches. I should also try some without the citric acid in the original development. This is the same print as the blue one.
