Still working with my gum prints of Titan negs. Another car from the Father's Day car show. Does the added colour for the car work for you?

I like the color, it is not too bold or strong and contrasts nicely with the texture on the rest of the image, helps bring the car forward. How did you add the color?

I love your pinhole work Sly! I think the colour here is great -- it really makes the picture pop.

Glad to hear it is striking a note with folks. Captbrs, I've done multiple layers of gum, here. The final red layer was removed during "development" from all of the print except the car, with a small brush, and my fingers. One of the things I love about gum printing is the enormous latitude to "play". Means there's a lot of latitude for f-ups too.

I'm imagining this by reflected rather than transmitted light, and I think it really succeeds that way. The 'Chevrolet' emblem and the little dip at the door suggest the late 50s, but I'm no expert...just a contemporary.. Is it, indeed, a vintage 50s Impala?

John, you're right, the print and the digital image have very different qualities. My husband is the car nut, I just a tag along. He doesn't think it's an Impala, but he's a British car afficianndo.
