I asked my girlfriend to model for me. We met at a modeling meet up and this is one of the latest images I've made of her in our time together. She makes images (much more creatively than I, as far as content/story-telling) now too, which is a new and fun dynamic.
Alluring! The pose, subject, composition, technique all combine to create a compelling picture. She appears to be in possession of great power. It truly struck a chord w/ me. This could have come straight from the thirties, the clothes, the necklace and her general look. Maybe this was your intent, either way it's a wonderful portrait, even the uneven developing gives it a certain "authenticity".
I too agree with everyone. Everything works in this image. I love her head tilt and gaze with the soft string of pearls. Reminds me of a picture I might find of my grandmother when she was young.
It looks like your model traveled through time which is remarkable and beautiful at the same time. I love this shot and the story behind it.I'm not familiar with the film and process you used but it kind of bugs me to see the damage on the upper part of the image. I know my grandma's picture from the early 1920 would look like this today but still...
