Chairoscuro

Chairoscuro

I have this lens I made myself, a soft-focus lens that I used in several of the images of carrots. Really, I made it just to make these photographs, just for me, just for her. I'm very fond of it, and the images it gives me are just what I wanted and needed at the time. I know more images will come from it. I've been trying to think what to name it. Other lenses are given names by their makers, this lens deserves one just as much, I think...

Today I was looking in my lens cabinet, and started noticing the names of some of my other lenses...

Hypergon, Imagon, Metrogon, Ultragon, Astragon, Planigon, Rodagon...

And suddenly I knew what I wanted to name my lens. It will now be known as the:

"I-wish-she-wasn't-gon"

Nice image, great story, neat lens.

I looked at all your work and I must say in all honesty, your work and vision is absolutely brilliant! You should submit these to BW magazine or to a gallery! Your work is completely outstanding! You are truly an artist! I would love to see more or your wonderful artwork!

Marvelous image. Background treatment perfect or nearly enough. I miss a carrot-top from UofA c.1971 myself. Your writing is most lucid on the nebulous treatment of image quality.
