From a revisit to Camp Michaux, the former WWII POW camp, later church camp (Camp Michaux), located in the local state forest near my home. I always seem to find interesting subjects, many of which are man made ruins from different eras of the location. The surrounding woods are twisted and viney, eerie almost, with many branches and curves. Then I found this chair, not too old, but only a frame remains. Its partner laid upside down close by. The bright white stood out greatly against the tangled woods.
On the technical side, I messed around with a few combinations of sepia and selenium with this photograph, this one being my favorite. I lightly sepia toned this print, lightly bleaching in a moderate strength bleach bath for only 20 seconds, followed by a thio sepia, homemade, with 3g of sodium hydroxide per liter. The tone was a nice subtle split. But when tossed in the KRST 1:9 the color exploded, and after 3 min was a wonderful peach color. I've had success achieving this color on RC but never with the FB version of MGWT until now.
