This is an old cemetery around 150-200 years. It's one of the first places I ever went when I got my first Nikon back in 1978 and decided to go back this past Sunday to try out my recent "Soverized F2A".
Film was FP-4(ASA 100) and Rodinal 1:75 for 6 1/2 min at 75 degrees.
@HiHoSilver Just guessing, but since there is only a last name, perhaps it's the primary marker for a family plot with smaller individual stones for actual burials, thus no date needed. That's not too uncommon. I'm guessing I wouldn't want to spring for four or five of those with all that intricate carving!
I didn't go around to the other side to see if there were any dates...surely somewhere there were. I was captured by the beauty of it and didn't think to check out the dates.
The two markers to the left/right of it may have had the names and dates as they're close together like that one obelisk marker was just a marker for them. I'm not sure-just a guess.
