Cemetery; Church of The Holy Cross

View of the back of the old church and cemetery, about 8am. It's a long, bumpy ride, but always worth it.

'Took more than one look. Its not a usual perspective, and for me is rather engaging. 'Always seemed fitting for the cemeteries to be part of or next to a church. Here, its almost like an audience or fan section looking at the gorgeous church. 'Glad they moved to preserve it. There's a website for it, but it was down when I looked.

I started photographing there a few years before, and during it's restoration . I learnt a lot about the church through the locals. Many of their relatives helped with the original construction in 1905. one elder's Grand Father hand carved all of the ornate wood found on pews, etc. I'm very pleased it was saved. the steeples were beginning to lean dangerously!
 
That would make for shooting w/ gusto - having that much connection w/ the history and people. Your shooting experience is rich indeed.
