Cement Block

Old block I found near a very old farmhouse foundation last fall. I'm not sure if it was part of the original structure or not. The plants around were very thick, and it was near dark. Extra exposure and added development in rodinal brought out the micro contrast that makes this photograph pop, I think!

Beautiful texture, Brian! Just as I thought you were a Neo 400 / Xtol guy you turn around on us... It evidently doesn't matter that much to the results...
Wonderful print! Full of sparkle and gorgeous contrast.

Thanks Thomas! I am normally a Neopan 400/Xtol 1:1 guy, but in low light, especially very low light like this, I turn to Rodinal 1:50 with minimal agitation to increase contrast and more importantly, increase micro-contrast, as you can see on each leaf. Gives a nice sparkle.
