Prior to 1998, there was a nice pointy rock in front of this fall, but I heard it broke into two pieces and fell into the water. Too bad. I still have an image showing it. Is it true? I don't see it in this image.

Daniel describes this perfectly. Very serene. Is there a very small flow of water just to the left of the main fall that looks like a ghost image?

Dan, it must have been another flow of water.
Ralph, I don't recall the rock that you mention. Can you post your image to compare?

I live about 15 miles from Cedar Falls, and yes it does look like a rock that split the falls into two streams is missing. I have a shot on my site, about a third of the way down the thumbnails, (very softened), www.EyElement.com.
