'Not wet, but did see the cam take an 8" tumble to a rock, knocking the film advance winder into parts unknown. Fortunately, it appears no other damage. It *did* put me out of commission for the interior shots of the mill.

Peter - *so* right. I sort of expect to be the shutter equivalent to a 'hit and miss' engine - likely for some time. Its just the dues to be paid by one willing to work & learn.
Eric - that crop crossed my tiny mind. I just now tried a crop that includes only the top water. Because of the angled path, it would have a short patch of the bright rock, terminating at the large dark rock at 11 O'clock. It *does* seem to focus it a bit. For my eye, the main creek flow is needed as a context & source of the swirling detail. I appreciate your kind help - taking the time to look & let me know your (more experienced) thoughts on the composition. In some ways I'm glad I was at least thinking in a similar direction.
