How does WOW ! do as a critique ?

Interested to know about the lighting, you have to love Portra though
 
It's striking. Looks like a great lens for the shot. I don't do these kind of shots but my worry with a 50 is that I would have to be practically into her face for this kind of close up and end up invading most people's personal space. How close did you have to be?
