Cathy and Daisey

Cathy and Daisey

Taken a few years ago. I had to expose to get plenty of detail, but unfortunately I then had to give the film to the local processor who over-developed it... makes a pretty bullet-proof neg that did require some effort to print. Tri-x in 35mm, shot with a rangefinder.

Great photo. It's worth the effort to battle any printing difficulties.
It does look to me like the file you've uploaded may be an over sharpened one. That makes it look so grainy & also when I look at the edge of her left arm the black line against the dress looks unnatural. The photo still works but it starts to get distracting when I look closer at the details.

Hi Goldie- Thanks for your comments. I agree, it does seem over sharpened- still learning.

This is such a moment. It's such a lovely image the technical details fade away, IMHO. That's not what's important when I see this photograph, is what I'm saying.

Amazing light, composition and moment of life. Worth overcoming any technical difficulties. Print it, just do it. Thanks for sharing

Man's a dogs best friend! Nice shot.

Great shot and the fact your scanner gave you this good an image is WOW. mine always gives me hell when the negative is too dense.
