i posted this in B&W earlier.

http://www.apug.org/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=35518&limit=1

we had some sun so i printed a VDB. i think i will try and print it again with less exposure. i will also try and reduce this print to see if i can lighten it up a bit. i will also try and sepia tone the b&w print. all to see what i like the best.

thanks for the comments

nice VDB eddie.
Part of me is wondering if you should possibly try exposing it identically once more, but then possible palladium or platinum toning it. It will likely not darken anywhere near as much as the straight VDB and will possibly give you some very interesting color shifts that would likely work well with this subject (especially the "reddish" effect palladium gives)
all that aside... very nice print. I like the strong amount of ceiling in the composition.

Oh yeah!! Eddie, if so inclined you will really like this using the palladium toning that Matt suggest. It looks great now, but I can see it with the toning and it will really sing. Funny, was thinking about this when I saw the first silver print posted, so very happy you made a VDB copy as well.

thanks again everyone,

i do not have P&P. will selenium work about the same? i made two copies so i can try something. if not i guess i can ask my friend to tone it for me and see how it looks. i appreciate the tips.

Eddie, others will respond I'm sure, but when you tone with Plt/Pld or selenium you have to tone before you fix (not as sure of this with selenium, but yes for Plt/Pld). Backwards from silver printing.

Selenium is done after fixing, Pt/PD is done before fixing but after dev.
Nice image. Similar to a body of work I have been doing in one of our local cathedrals. I have been doing kallitypes which seem to compliment the architecture and add the right feeling in tune with the building.
