Image taken from the porches of the Palace Raxoi opposite the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela (the most rainy city of Spain). To the bottom(fund) of the image one sees the front of the cathedral.
Further proof to the falsehood of the idea that the rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain. In two summers of living in Segovia, I don't know if I can recall a single rainy day. I did get rained on in Toledo and Salamanca, though, but only one afternoon, seventeen years later.
