Cheryl, I have the utmost admiration for a job well done. This is a story which has touched many of us and has given perspective to the value of life, every life, great and small. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Evocative of the kind of work one could credibly attribute to W. Eugene Smith. Cheryl, this 'story' is moving and compelling. I'm grateful you're sharing it with us.
Thank you all. This was a terribly difficult day.... truly bittersweet. I've never felt more privileged and blessed than I did to be included in this amazing family.
I think I've mentioned before that high quality photojournalism is on the wane. These two images are convincing proof that I'm wrong. Perhaps inspiring, insightful PJ is just moving from the newspaper and magazine to the book and other venues for fine art photographers.
These images and the threads associated with them certainly have me thinking about the possibility of doing photo essays further down the road, and putting them in a hand-bound book. I've just been stuck so far finding a way to keep completely analog and have a high-quality product at a price affordable to most families.
Again, Cheryl. Brava on keeping the faith and giving the world inspiring images.
