Very "Turnerish" ! When you ink multi-coloured images Gene, do you merely apply another ink and mask off to avoid encroaching on an area already completed ?
Roy, I use rough torn newspaper to mask off an area while inking an adjacent area. I keep the paper in motion so as not to have a hard line where two or more colors meet. I normally let the underlying black ink dry for a day or two before applying color ink over it. If the colored ink is intense in hue I'll let each color dry overnight before applying the next color to keep them from mixing. All of this sounds a lot more complicated that it is in practice!
Gene,
You never stop to amaze me. Every time I look at one of your images, my jaw drops to the floor. This is such amazing work.
By the way, I'm still thinking real hard about bromoil, but hit some financial constraints which means no experimental photography for me for a while. Nothing to stop my mind from going, however... Your photographs inspire me to pick it up when things turn around again.
