Carnforth Station

Another image taken from my first few rolls with an Xpan. Expossed to get deep shadows in order to try and get a very graphic effect with lots of dynamic lines.

Carnforth Station (north Lancashire) was used extensively in the location shooting of the film Brief Encounter and the white fence divides today's inevitable visitor centre from the operational network platform. Given the UK's increasing reliance on the services sector it should be no surprise that this probably makes as much money as running a provincial railway line.

I think this is great, as almost an abstract. The high print contrast suits the subject matter very nicely, looks clean.
Great use of the panoramic format.
