That looks great--beautiful quality for one of your first prints! Any technical details you can share would be appreciated--I'm planning on trying carbon printing soon.
I am using B&S tissue to start, and pretty much following the method in Dick Sullivan's book. Mating at ~60F, developing at ~105F, and being patient not to rush it. Final support is Moab glossy paper.
These results are impressive. My difficulties with carbon always arose when working with so called art papers that I sized myself. I did get good prints with GAC sizing, but I don't like the look of it. I take it your not sizing the Moab? Have you used, or do you intend to use a matte paper? I may try some if I can get to it before I tear down my work space and move next month. Good work!
Hi artonpaper, I have not tried any matte art papers yet but will probably give Stonehenge a try at some point. I do like good relief though so I think I will gravitate toward glossy/rc papers. The Moab is staight from the box.
Thanks sharpobokeh. I assume Stone Henge will need sizing? Looking forward to seeing what you come with. Best of luck. I just bought a lot of tissue and now my landlords of 20+ years tell us they want our apartment for their daughter. I'll be lucky to find a place where I can print, and when I do, I have to set up all over again. I guess I'm benched for while.
