Canyonlands from one of the lookout points. I took the same photograph with a digital SLR and I much prefer the look of the film.

velvia 50 (or maybe E100VS?) - scanned awhile ago.
The darker foreground leads the eye in through the picture into the far distance to give it depth. Very nice picture!

In terms of shapes and colours, this must be a unique landscape. Were this to be 200 years ago and a painting we'd be praising or condemning the artist for his/her imagination.

Great composition! The various tones, and diagonal lines definitely attract the eye. Well done!
