Campanile di Giotto, Florence

The campanile or bell tower of the Duomo in Florence. Designed by Giotto, the famous painter, after he was commissioned to take over as Master of Works for the construction of the cathedral. By the time he died in 1337, only the first tier of the tower was complete.

That's pretty wild, Scott. Love this.

The keystoning really works with this image, and the light fluffy clouds accent the beautiful pastel colors of the building. VERY well seen!

It looks like a tiny raw fragment of the day's accumulated memories as it's being reprocessed and stored while one is sleeping. Enough so far to recall, but with some of the details still missing. Another two hours of sleep should do the trick.
